(37) The PLTR Revolution

The AI is bringing a revolution to the society which shocks everyone, and inside this great revolution, there are still some individual revolutions which also can shock the world. The AI on Generation Z (people born between 1997 and 2012) is coming and may roll up the world.

Just ahead of the result announcement, PLTR launched out their “Meritocracy Fellowship” project. They said college education is sometimes a waste, so they directly recruit students from high school. This anti-college program gives a salary equals to the mid-tier university fresh grad, when successful can earn a permanent job. So, when two people start at the same year, one goes to PLTR internship and other go to college for a degree, after 4 years, the high school guy already had 4 years of annual increase of salary and surely higher than the listed fresh grad average. This is not shown in the chart of average, for they cannot show the difference in 4-year time lap.

This is not the major argument. America is famous not only for military, technology and economy, but also for college education. Among the top 100 universities, nearly half of them are from US and the other 50 are shared by the whole world. In every country, their famous university will count how many presidents, mayors or ministers they have nourished for their own country, but US universities are counting how many they have nourished for the whole world. All professional researchers are aiming at US as their ultimate target for research, no matter in the field of science, medical health, technology or finance. Such as the ultimate target of a soccer player aims at World Cup, an athlete aims at Olympic Games. When college life is condemned as a waste, what will the world of tomorrow be?

Traditionally, college degree is for white collars, and vocational training is for blue collar. So does it mean blue collar technicians will raise their status in the future. People would say a car manufacturer or designer needs a college degree and a technician of maintenance only need vocational training. Mind that Elon Musk is from University of Pennsylvania. The MBA of that university ranks number one in the world. The GPT passed the MBA graduate requirement and thus can said as a successful AI, when passed other universities, not so proud indeed. The U Penn nourished a superman called Elon Musk. After all, those AI which cannot passed the U Penn test cannot not be said as a successful AI.

When you want to learn how to bake a cake, may be just take a course of several months in the vocational school is enough. But mind that for the Faculty of Dentistry, the Hong Kong University always ranks number one in the world. It takes 5 years of study and one more year of internship before getting a degree.

The program of PLTR is just a starting point, only 22 seats are reserved for Generation Z. They are quite talented as had faced strong scrutinizing competition. No matter they go to college or go inside PLTR as on-the-job training for 4 years, they are all successful people. But will there be other large firms learn from them. Sure! Just see how hot it will be, and how successful these 22 people will be.

A lot of people still try to pursue their career in MBA and EMBA in the States. This trend will not change. Why the US universities are so famous, because the best students of the world are all aiming at them. Their starting points are already higher than other countries. If college education is a waste, where on earth should students go to? To Mars or the Moon?

Anyway, it is just a start, more will be coming. What we have to mind is that PLTR will have a partnership with NVDA. This will be more important. Investors take chance to sell on good news of result announcement of PLTR. NASDAQ and S&P are adjusting to fill the jumping gap. Mind the voting of the Pay and Performance scheme of TSLA.
